Over the weekend, a man was arrested in Lawrence County and received 6 charges. He was allegedly pulled over for swerving which led local authorities to a more detailed arrest. The man’s license was suspended for failure to provide financial responsibility and he was unable to provide insurance. Two juveniles vandalized the Summertown football field last week. Both parties were seen tearing down the field goals, leaving them unusable and unfixable. The Lawrence County Fire and Rescue and the Lawrence County Fire Department gathered a 7-man team to send to Elizabethton to assist with the severe floods. They were tasked with water rescue and welfare checks for those in the community who had not been accessed from the first day of the flood.
