Heat Advisories Issued for Middle Tennessee and North Alabama Through Friday Evening

The National Weather Service has issued Heat Advisories for much of Middle Tennessee and north Alabama through Friday (8/14). In Middle Tennessee, the advisory remains in effect through 9:00 p.m. Friday, with heat index values reaching as high as 109 degrees. Elkmont Man Arrested in Limestone County Child Sexual Abuse Investigation

The Limestone County Sheriff's Office has arrested a 33-year-old Elkmont man following an investigation into the alleged sexual abuse of a child. According to the Sheriff's Office, investigators received a report on August 5 alleging that a child had been sexually abused. Seven People Involved in Head-On Crash Near Maury-Giles County Line

Maury County Fire Department crews responded to a head-on collision on Pulaski Highway near the Giles County line at approximately 2:56 p.m. Saturday, August 8. Firefighters arrived to find one person trapped inside one vehicle and six occupants in the other vehicle.
