The Lawrenceburg Saturday Free Lunch for August 22 will be hosted by Harmony Church of the Nazarene, located at 904 Third Avenue in Lawrenceburg. The program is sponsored by God’s Storehouse and local churches.  Serving begins around 11 a.m. and runs until the site runs out of food.

The Savannah Police Department reports that Christopher Peyton Stricklin, age 20, has been sentenced to 25 years in federal prison for three sexual exploitation offenses involving minors.  Stricklin allegedly used his cell phone to record himself molesting a minor female, then sent the video to another minor.

An interview at the Limestone Child Advocacy Center led to the arrest of Athens resident Charles Wesley Stiles, age 48, on Thursday on charges of sexual abuse of a child younger than 12, and sodomy.  The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department is continuing to investigate the matter.  Stiles has been incarcerated at the Limestone County Jail to await a bond hearing.

The Annual Henryville Community Club Apple Pie Festival is scheduled for October 3, and organizers are currently seeking vendors and food trucks for the event.  The festival will be held at Henryville Community Club, 933 Turnpike Road.  Entry is free and there will be live music and games.  Interested vendors should call: 931-629-0719 for more information.
