Leadership Team

Roger

Leadership

Roger Wright

Roger's passion for radio broadcasting began early in his high school years, leading him to construct his first radio transmitter. His dedication to the craft was further solidified by obtaining a first-class FCC license in 1969 and a Radio Engineering Diploma in 1970. On January 6th, 1970, Roger launched WMGL 98.3 FM in Pulaski and since then has been instrumental in establishing numerous stations, ensuring they operate smoothly. In addition to the technical aspect of radio, Roger enjoys utilizing the stations to help people whenever he can. This is especially true when bad weather strikes the area and Roger plays a vital role in providing the public with crucial weather information.

I have had a love of music for as long as I can remember. I began my radio career in the mid 1990's as a weekend DJ on WLX. In 1996 I was given the opportunity to go full time in Radio at WJOR in St. Joseph, TN.

Eddie

Eddie Landtroop

I have always loved radio. I can remember as a kid, I was the one that ran around with a transistor radio all the time and would even put it under my pillow at night to listen.

Robbie Colvert

Since high school I knew I wanted to be an Accountant.  I graduated from the University of North Alabama with a business degree in accounting and I started working for a local CPA where I stayed for more than 30 years.

Brandy Brown

From a young age, I was immersed in the world of radio, thanks to my parents’ 40 years of experience at WLX. After previously working there, my love and passion for radio led me back as a sales executive. My husband, Patrick, and I live in Loretto, where we love watching our grandkids play ball and enjoying peaceful moments by the pool together.

I grew up listening to WDXE. Especially in the mornings getting ready for school and later riding the strip as a teenager. Later in life I opened my own real estate business and became an advertiser on WDXE. I made many live appearances on the station and became great friends with Jack Cheetwood, Larry "Elrod" Moore, and Ronnie Allen. We had some great fun. One day Jack asked me to fill in for him and Elrod. They were both battling some serious illness. So I began to host The Wake-up Show. WDXE has a great legacy and I feel very blessed to have a part in it.

Stepping into the shoes of a local legend, Eddie Landtroop, in late 2019 marked a significant milestone in my career. I’ve always had a passion for entertaining people through my DJ business and it was a very natural transition when I started doing radio as the morning show host. When I’m not DJing at a wedding reception, a high school prom or on the airwaves, you can find me at the family autoparts shop in Loretto. I think my presence both in the community and on the airwaves adds a special touch to the everyday lives of our audience and hopefully I make a significant contribution in brightening someone’s day with a little bit of laughter and fun.

I love seeing how things work and working with my hands; that's something my granddad, Roger Wright, and I have in common...
