Man Arrested in Lawrence County Receives 6 Charges

Over the weekend, a man was arrested in Lawrence County and received 6 charges. He was allegedly pulled over for swerving which led local authorities to a more detailed arrest. The man’s license was suspended for failure to provide financial responsibility and he was unable to provide insurance. If you signed-up with Community RFD to or would like to sign up to drive a tow motor/fork lift for Community RFD, we will have an orientation training class Saturday, October 5th, at 9am at the RFD building at 216 N 3rd St. This class is not a requirement to drive but it will get you OSHA certified and/or renew your certification.

FOP Lodge 94 Run/Walk (10/19/24)

Giles County FOP Lodge 94 presents the annual 5K Charity Run/Walk. The event will be held Saturday, October 19th beginning @ 8am at Giles County High School. The entry fee is $25 and entry forms can be picked-up at the Giles County Sheriff’s Office, 200 Thomas Gatlin Drive, Pulaski. Make sure to include your shirt size. A former Tennessee State Trooper is facing rape and misconduct charges, and has been terminated. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says former trooper Brenton Wiegand engaged in illegal activity with a prostitute from September 2023 until April 2024. Tennessee Governor Bill Lee announced approval of an Expedited Major Disaster Declaration, making recovery assistance available to eight counties.
