WLX Radio & RADIO7Media News Content Removal Policy

Purpose

At WLX Radio and RADIO7Media, we are committed to providing accurate reporting and maintaining a reliable public record of news, public information, and media coverage published on our websites and platforms. Our goal is to serve the public interest through responsible journalism and transparent reporting.

Because news reporting serves as an important historical record, WLX Radio and RADIO7Media do not routinely remove published news articles, reports, or media content, except under specific circumstances outlined in this policy.

General Policy

Once an article, story, or media post is published on any WLX Radio or RADIO7Media platform, it becomes part of our public archive. As a standard practice:

  • Articles will NOT be removed due to personal objections, embarrassment, public pressure, or reputation concerns.
  • We do not remove content simply because the subject no longer wants the information publicly accessible.
  • We do not remove truthful reporting of arrests, charges, court filings, public records, or official statements solely because time has passed.
  • If new information becomes available, we may update or correct an article rather than remove it.

Our mission is accuracy and accountability—not rewriting history.

Conditions for Article Removal

WLX Radio and RADIO7Media may consider removal or redaction of published content only if one or more of the following conditions are met:

  1. Proven Major Factual Inaccuracy

If credible and verifiable evidence is provided showing the published article contains a major factual error that materially changes the meaning of the story, we may:

  • Correct the article,
  • Add an editor’s note or clarification, and/or
  • Remove the article if correction is not possible.
  1. Court Order or Legal Requirement

We will comply with valid legal requirements, including:

  • Court orders
  • Sealed record orders
  • Government mandates
  • Valid legal takedown notices supported by applicable law
  1. Defamation or False Allegations (Verified)

If a claim is made that content is defamatory, we will review the request. Removal may be considered if:

  • The claim is supported by documentation, and
  • The published information cannot be confirmed through credible sources.
  1. Privacy & Safety Risks

We may remove or redact content if it contains sensitive personal information that creates a legitimate privacy or safety concern, including:

  • Social Security numbers
  • Medical information
  • Banking or financial account information
  • Personal phone numbers or private addresses (unless already part of public record)
  • Sensitive information involving minors or protected individuals
  1. Misidentification

If an individual can provide proof that they were incorrectly named, identified, or pictured in an article, WLX Radio and RADIO7Media will take prompt action to correct or remove the content depending on the severity of the error.

  1. Duplicate Posting or Publishing Error

Articles may be removed if they were posted due to:

  • Duplicate uploads
  • Technical errors
  • Incorrect article placement
  • Accidental publication

Corrections and Updates

In most situations, WLX Radio and RADIO7Media prefer transparency through corrections rather than removal. If appropriate, we may issue:

  • A correction notice
  • An editor’s note
  • A clarification statement
  • A follow-up update with new information

This ensures the public record remains accurate and complete.

Archived News Content

Many articles remain accessible as part of our historical archive. If legal outcomes change—such as charges being dismissed, reduced, or expunged—we may consider updating the article to reflect that outcome. However, removal is not guaranteed unless the request meets the criteria in this policy.

Submitting a Removal or Correction Request

If you believe an article published by WLX Radio or RADIO7media qualifies for removal or correction, you may submit a written request including:

  • Full legal name and contact information
  • Link to the article or content in question
  • Clear explanation of the request
  • Supporting documentation (court records, proof of identity, official paperwork, etc.)

Requests may be submitted to:
