The Lawrence County Courthouse is among 11 Tennessee properties being considered for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places.

The Tennessee State Review Board will meet Friday, September 18, at 9:00 a.m. to review the proposed nominations.
The meeting will be held at the Tennessee Historical Commission in Nashville and will also be available virtually.
The State Review Board will vote on each of the 11 nominations, and those determined to meet the criteria will be forwarded to the National Register of Historic Places at the U.S. Department of the Interior for final approval.
In addition to the Lawrence County Courthouse, the nominations include courthouses in Claiborne, Johnson, Morgan, Scott and Weakley counties, along with five other historic properties across Tennessee.
The Tennessee Historical Commission administers the National Register program in the state.
