Lawrenceburg City Council August 27 Meeting Recap

The Lawrenceburg City Council approved all ordinances and resolutions considered during its Thursday, August 27 meeting.

The meeting marked the first for Wes Orton as the Councilman for Seat 4.
Council members approved Ordinance 1461 on second reading, amending Ordinance 1413 by adding exceptions to portions of the city’s municipal code related to the International Residential Code.
The council also approved a resolution declaring a 2006 van surplus and returning the vehicle to its donor, Steve McMasters.
Another resolution approved a $41,416 bid from Evers Construction Company to convert an existing storage room at the West Highland Gym into an ADA-compliant unisex restroom.
Two other bids for the project were submitted in the amounts of $46,687 and $61,022.
During the department manager report, Parks and Recreation Director Eric Shultz made a presentation to the council.
