William Bruce Brown

William Bruce Brown, known to everyone as Bruce, passed away in his home on August 11, 2026, at the age of 58. He was born on February 19, 1968, to his mother Victoria Golden-Bright and his father Charlie Brown, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.

Bruce attended school in Lawrence County, and after graduating, he attended ITT Technical Institute in Nashville where he earned his degree in electrical engineering. After he married, Bruce and his family moved to Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, where he used his degree to build a career working at Gaylord Opryland Hotel & Convention Center, Centennial Hospital, and the State Capitol in Nashville, Tennessee.

Bruce later returned to Lawrenceburg to be closer to family and friends. During his time here, he worked at Story & Lee, where he made many friends and built lasting relationships.

The last ten months of Bruce’s life were spent with his daughter, Julie, in Clarksville, Tennessee, as his health declined. Bruce took great pride in his work, cared deeply for his dog, Lilly, and always enjoyed anything outdoors.

Bruce leaves behind his daughter, Julie Brown; his mother, Victoria ‘Vicki’ Golden-Bright; his brother, Mark Brown; his niece, Abby Gingerich (Sam); his nephew, John Brown; his uncle, Jimmy Brown; his stepchildren, Wesley Dunn & Brittany Dunn; granddaughter, Baylee Dunn; and several cousins.

Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Brown; maternal grandparents, Ralph and Mattie Golden; uncle, Bob Golden; and paternal grandparents, John Millard and Beatrice Brown.

Services will be held at Coleman Memorial United Methodist Church ,  August the 28th at 11:00 am
