Man Convicted for Shooting Into Occupied Home

An investigation into an incident where shots were fired into an occupied home in Limestone County on August 13 has lead to an arrest. Sheriff’s department officials indicate that 33-year-old Juan Diego Sanchez Mandez of Decatur and Birmingham has been arrested on charges of shooting into an occupied dwelling. He has been booked into the Limestone County Jail to await further legal action. No one was injured as a result of the shooting.
