Thunderstorms Cause Damage, Power Outages in Lawrenceburg Area

Lawrenceburg Fire crews responded to 1st Street after a tree fell onto a residence and a vehicle. Firefighters assessed the damage at the scene.

According to a family member, two people were inside the home when the tree fell, but no injuries were reported. The tree damaged the home’s front porch and also fell onto a Ford Expedition parked at the residence.

The storms also caused numerous power outages across Lawrence County. At one point Monday evening, the Lawrenceburg Utility Systems outage map showed approximately 1,300 customers without power.
