Blood Drive to Honor Dr. Thomas “Scott” Benefield

The American Red Cross will hold a special blood drive honoring Dr. Thomas “Scott” Benefield on Wednesday, August 26, from 1:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the Lawrenceburg Rotary Club meeting rooms, 927 North Military Avenue.

Blood donations helped save Benefield’s life multiple times after he was severely injured in a hit-and-run crash while training for a triathlon. He received lifesaving blood while being transported to the hospital and throughout nearly two years of recovery.

Benefield’s family is encouraging others to give blood in his honor. Those scheduling an appointment should use sponsor code IHODRBENEFIELD.
