Lawrence County EMS Selects Michael Wright as D-Shift Supervisor

Lawrence County EMS has selected Paramedic Michael Wright to serve as its new D-Shift Supervisor as the department prepares to transition to a 24/72 work schedule.

Wright was selected following a formal application and interview process involving several qualified applicants. He currently serves as the C-Shift Field Training Officer, where he helps train students and new employees and assumes supervisory responsibilities when needed.

Wright is in his 11th year in EMS and has been with Lawrence County EMS since June 2018. He is a licensed paramedic and has completed multiple advanced medical, pediatric and trauma certifications, as well as the Tennessee EMS Leadership Course.

Wright also serves as a Death Investigator with the Lawrence County Medical Examiner’s Office and has completed Saint Louis University’s Medicolegal Death Investigator Training Course.

Lawrence County EMS congratulated Wright on his selection and said it looks forward to working with him in his new leadership role.
