Maury County Fire Department Responds to Camper Fire

The Maury County Fire Department responded to a camper fire on Rick Hight Road at approximately 5:40 p.m. Monday, August 10.

Firefighters arrived to find flames showing from one window of the camper. Crews forced entry and quickly brought the fire under control. No occupants were found inside.

According to the department, the camper fire was its 12th call for service of the day, with volunteers having already responded to several other serious incidents.

The department thanked its volunteers for their dedication, particularly while responding to emergencies during days with high heat index values.
