Preparations Underway for 2026 Middle Tennessee District Fair

Preparations are accelerating for the 2026 Middle Tennessee District Fair as nearly 100 fair superintendents gathered recently at Rotary Park to review plans for the Agriculture and Creative Arts Building.

The evening began with a dinner recognizing the volunteers who oversee the many competitive exhibit departments that are a long-standing tradition of the fair. Following the meal, Competitive Exhibits Chair Kristina Hill led a discussion covering exhibit procedures, judging schedules, volunteer responsibilities, and preparations for this year’s event.

The Agriculture and Creative Arts Building showcases hundreds of entries each year, including agricultural products, horticulture, culinary arts, quilting, photography, fine arts, crafts, and numerous other categories submitted by exhibitors from across the region.

Competitive exhibit entries will be accepted on September 18 and September 19, with judging taking place prior to the opening of the fair. The 2026 Middle Tennessee District Fair officially opens on September 24, featuring ten days of agricultural exhibits, entertainment, educational displays, livestock competitions, carnival rides, and family activities.
