Daniel Milton Killen, Sr., 81, of Florence, AL, passed away August 5, 2026. Milton was a retired Operator at AMOCO Chemicals and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Milton enjoyed playing and listening to various kinds of music including Gospel, Country, and Bluegrass.

Milton is survived by:

Sons: Daniel Milton Killen, Jr. and James Killen (Debbie)

Daughters: Deborah Putman (Brett) & Beth Brown (Derek)

Grandchildren: Seth Putman, Trent Putman, Shannon Putman, and Gavin Moore

Special niece: Jean Conner

Best friend: Dan Springer

He was preceded in death by:

Parents: Luther Killen and Verda “Bird” Springer Killen

Wife: Martha Behel Killen

Brothers: Pete Killen, R.C. Killen, and Sanford Killen

Sisters: Shirley Williams, Lula Springer, Rose Robertson, Clethel Pettus, Sue Michael, and NinaRee LeMay

Visitation will be Sunday, August 9, 2026 from 11:30 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 P.M. with Bro. Austin Lane officiating. Burial will be in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Milton’s family will serve as pallbearers.
