Primary and County General Election is Thursday

Polls will be open across the area on Thursday for the August 6 primary and county general election.  Names appearing on the ballot for Lawrence County this election cycle will include candidates vying for governor, U.S. Senate, Tennessee Senate (odd-numbered districts), Tennessee House, Republican and Democratic State Executive Committees, Lawrence County executive, circuit court clerk, sheriff, county clerk, county trustee, register of deeds, road superintendent, Northern, Middle and Southern district constables, school board seats 2, 3, 5, 6 and 9, county commissioner seats 1 through 18 and circuit court judge.  Voters are encouraged to bring their voter registration cards to help streamline the process.
