Tennessee’s annual Sales Tax Holiday begins Friday, July 31, and continues through Sunday, August 2, giving shoppers the opportunity to purchase qualifying back-to-school items without paying state or local sales tax.

During the tax holiday, clothing priced at $100 or less per item, school supplies priced at $100 or less per item, and computers priced at $1,500 or less per item qualify for the tax exemption.

The tax-free savings also apply to eligible online purchases, provided they meet the requirements of the holiday.

Additional information, including a complete list of qualifying items and official guidelines, is available through the Tennessee Department of Revenue.
