Arrest Made in Florence Hit-and-Run

Florence Police officials report that the driver of a vehicle suspected of striking a cyclist on Cloverdale Road Friday, and fleeing the scene, has been apprehended.  Scarlet Marie Montgomery, age 19 is charged with leaving the scene of an accident, causing injury, first degree assault, and driving under the influence of alcohol.  The cyclist was transported to a Huntsville area hospital suffering from a number of facial and skull fractures as well as a brain-bleed.
