Muscle Shoals PD Warns of Arrest Warrant Scam

The Muscle Shoals Police Department has seen an increase in the number of people being targeted in an arrest warrant scam.  The victims have been contacted by phone and informed that they missed jury duty and an arrest warrant has now been issued in their name.  They pressure victims to pay fines or fees to avoid being arrested.  Officials warn residents not to pay such a caller money of any kind.  They often request payments be made by way of Bitcoin or cryptocurrency, however this is a scam.  If you are contacted in this manner, you are instructed to contact your local law enforcement agency.
