Second Phase of Springer Road Project Now Underway

The second phase of the City of Lawrenceburg’s Springer Road improvement project is now underway.

As part of the project, Springer Road is closed between 7th Street and Weakley Creek Road while construction and roadway improvements continue.

City officials have announced that, due to an unforeseen construction issue, the 7th Street crossover access across Springer Road has been temporarily closed for the safety of motorists and construction crews. Access at Douglas Drive and Toben Terrace remains open.

Motorists are asked not to drive through the closed section, to use alternate routes, and to follow all posted detours and traffic control signs. Drivers should also allow extra travel time, as increased traffic is expected on surrounding streets.

The Springer Road closure will remain in place until work is completed. The city said the timeline will depend on weather and other construction-related conditions.
