The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for portions of Middle Tennessee from Tuesday evening (7/21) through Wednesday morning (7/22).
Thunderstorms with locally torrential downpours are expected to develop across Middle Tennessee Tuesday evening. Some locations could receive several inches of rain, resulting in flash flooding.
Excessive runoff may lead to flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone areas.
The National Weather Service encourages residents to monitor the latest forecasts and remain alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in flood-prone areas should be prepared to take action if flooding develops.
