A driver was injured after a vehicle left the roadway and became entangled in downed trees Saturday night in Giles County.
According to Giles County Fire & Rescue, arriving crews requested a backhoe from the Giles County Highway Department to help remove trees and assist with the extrication process.
The driver was transported by Giles County EMS for medical treatment.
The Giles County Highway Department cleared the roadway following the crash. The Giles County Office of Emergency Management also responded because of a possible gas leak into the Blue Water Creek bed.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
No additional information has been released.
