Citing his leadership in the community and in the field of recovery, the Tennessee County Services Association has appointed Lawrence County Executive David Morgan to serve a five-year term on the Tennessee Opioid Abatement Council. The council oversees distribution of funds from the national opioid settlement agreements through the Opioid Trust Fund. In addition to serving as County Executive, Morgan serves as senior pastor at United Church and is the founder and spiritual overseer of 8 Oaks Recovery.
