Madison Authorities Target Traffic Infractions Along Highway 53 Corridor

In the wake of several serious traffic crashes, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office has implemented an increased presence along the Highway 53 corridor.  They will be conducting targeted traffic enforcement in an attempt to change driving behavior and prevent crashes in the future.  Deputies will be enforcing speed limits, checking for cell phone and seatbelt usage, ensuring that drivers allow a safe distance between vehicles, and enforcing other traffic laws.  They urge motorists to be patient and courteous with other drivers.
