Lawrence County to Begin Mobile Convenience Center Service in Iron City

The Lawrence County Solid Waste Department will begin mobile convenience center service in Iron City on Tuesday, July 28.

Residents will be able to bring garbage and recyclables to the Iron City Fire Hall, 484 Iron City Road, every Tuesday from 6:00 to 10:00 a.m.

The mobile convenience centers provide a regular location for garbage disposal and the distribution of free recycling bags.

Other mobile convenience center locations include the West End Community Club/Fire Hall, 5520 Waynesboro Highway, on Wednesdays; the Summertown Fire Hall, 140 Highway 20, on Thursdays; and the New Prospect Community Center, 4430 Pulaski Highway, Lawrenceburg, on Fridays. Service at each location is available from 6:00 to 10:00 a.m.
