Vandalism Forces Closure of St. Joseph City Park Restrooms

The City of St. Joseph is asking for the public’s help after vandals damaged restrooms at the city park over the weekend.

According to city officials, someone kicked in and severely damaged two restroom doors. As a result, the restrooms will remain closed until the damaged doors can be replaced.

City officials said the repairs will be paid for with taxpayer dollars and called the vandalism unacceptable.

Anyone with information about those responsible is asked to contact the City of St. Joseph. Officials said tips may be provided anonymously.

The city also warned that additional surveillance cameras may be installed throughout the park if vandalism continues.
