Gail Prentice

Gail Prentice, age 65, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West in Nashville, TN. She was a native of Lawrenceburg, TN, and retired from Jones Apparel. Mrs. Prentice’s family was her number one priority and she loved them dearly. She also enjoyed sitting on the porch and laying on the beach. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Glen Smith; and two sisters, Margaret Holden and Glenda Staggs. 

She is survived by her husband, Danny Prentice of Lawrenceburg, TN; her mother, Claudie Bryson Drake; three sons, Brannon Olive of Leoma, TN, Chris Olive of Leoma, TN, and Shane Olive (Ashley) of Revilo, TN; one step- son, Daniel Prentice of Lawrenceburg, TN; one brother, James Paul Smith of Leoma, TN; three grandchildren, Bailey Olive, Caidan Olive, and Emma Grace Olive; and one great–grandchild, Ila Kate Cervantes. 

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, July 10, 2026, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 11, 2026, with Tim Gordon officiating. Interment will follow at Mars Hill Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN.
