The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for all of Middle Tennessee, effective from 1:00 p.m. TODAY (7/9) through 6:00 p.m. Sunday (7/12).
Slow-moving storms with heavy rainfall are expected to produce an additional 3 to 4 inches of rain over the next several days in areas that are already saturated from recent rainfall.
Heavy rainfall may cause flooding in urban areas, low-lying locations, and other flood-prone areas.
The National Weather Service encourages residents to have multiple ways to receive Flash Flood Warnings and reminds motorists not to attempt to drive through flooded roadways.
Continue to monitor forecasts and updates from the National Weather Service.
