VFW Post 1618 to Host “Stars, Stripes & the Pledge” Patriotic Program

David Crockett VFW Post 1618, located at 517 East Gaines Street in Lawrenceburg, will host its “Stars, Stripes & the Pledge” program celebrating America’s 250th birthday on Friday, July 3, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM.

The patriotic event is open to children in kindergarten through 3rd grade. Activities will include a flag-raising ceremony, learning about the American flag and what it represents, learning the Pledge of Allegiance and the meaning of its words, and each child reciting the pledge.

Parents and grandparents are encouraged to attend as the community celebrates 250 years of freedom.
