Lauderdale Man Enters Guilty Plea in Child Rape Case

Lauderdale County resident Randoph Ethridge has entered a guilty plea to charges of torture or willful abuse of a child in connection with a 2022 case.  He had originally been indicted on two counts of first-degree rape and two counts of first-degree sexual abuse.  In accordance with the plea bargain arrangement, Ethridge was given a 10-year suspended sentence contingent upon good behavior.  He will serve no actual time in prison unless he violates the conditions of the agreement.
