Lawrence County Fire Rescue Responds to Crash with Entrapment

Lawrence County Fire Rescue has released details about a serious crash with entrapment that occurred Saturday morning in the Henryville Fire District.

According to the department, units were dispatched at approximately 5:00 AM on June 20 after receiving an iPhone Crash Detection notification on Redhill Center Road. While crews were responding, Lawrence County E-911 received additional 911 calls confirming a motor vehicle crash with serious injuries and entrapment.

Firefighters arriving on the scene began patient care and extricated the injured person from the vehicle. Lawrence County EMS treated the patient before transporting them to the Henryville Fire Department’s helicopter landing zone, where Air Evac transported the patient to a Level I trauma center.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol conducted the crash investigation.
