Lawrence County E-911 Thanks First Responders Following Tragic Incident

Lawrence County E-911 has shared a message of appreciation from a person who was at the scene of a tragic incident on Monday involving an Amish infant.

Radio traffic indicated emergency crews responded to an address on Barnett Road Monday afternoon following a report of a 1-year-old child found in the water and not breathing. Officials have not publicly released additional information.

According to the social media post shared by Lawrence County E-911, the individual praised everyone involved in the emergency response, from the initial 911 call to volunteer firefighters, law enforcement officers, and EMS personnel, for providing what was described as exemplary, professional, and compassionate service.

The message also expressed gratitude to two nearby residents who were the first to arrive and provide care before emergency responders reached the scene.

Lawrence County E-911 concluded the post by asking the community to continue praying for the child’s family, their friends, and the first responders who answered the call.
