An officer-involved shooting incident was investigated through the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office last week. The incident occurred in Decatur while members of multiple agencies were involved in operation regarding 37-year-old Leighton, Alabama, resident Nicholas Scott Terry, who was wanted on several felony warrants. During the encounter, Terry allegedly produced a firearm from his waistband and discharged it. Three officers returned fire. Two officers received minor injuries and Terry was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment. He has since remained in stable condition. The case currently remains under investigation.
