Ricky Wayne Short , age 70 of Iron City, TN passed away June 15, 2026 at home after an extended illness. He was a native of Lawrence County,TN, worked for Monarch Tile, and of the Baptist faith. Funeral Services will be held at Loretto Memorial Chapel on Friday, June 19, 2026 at 1:00 pm. Craig Mason & Daryl Stamps will be officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at Loretto Memorial Chapel.

3 Daughters- Sheleigh Short Leoma, TN

3 Sisters- Janie Phillips Iron City, TN

Darlene “Boog” Jones St. Joseph, TN

10 Grandchildren- Brogan Mercedes Burbank, Hayden Elizabeth Hagan &

Angela Noel Martin

4 Great Grandchildren- Danielle Lynn, Andrew Wayne, Finley Elizabeth,

& Carter Paris

A Special Friend- Diane Risner

Preceded in death by: Parents- Willie G. & Velma Butler Short

Daughter- Tanna Pesnell

Sister- Barbara Jean Short
