Lawrence County Library to Host Plant Identification Class June 25

The Lawrence County Library will host a Basics of Plant Identification class on Thursday, June 25, from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM.

The guest speaker will be Katie Ward with the UT-TSU Extension Lawrence County office.

Participants will learn about safe handling of unidentified plants, common dangerous plants, and identifiable traits in broadleaf plants, including leaf arrangement and shape, flower structure, stem characteristics, and seasonality.

The class is for plant identification purposes only. Due to liability, additional plant aspects will not be discussed.
