Scammer Impersonates Athens PD Officer

The Athens, Alabama, Police Department reports that they have received several complaints regarding a scam circulating through the area.  The scam involves a person who is impersonating Captain Brett Constable, threatening to arrest the person, should they not pay a specific amount of money to cover various fees and court costs.  They warn residents that this is nothing more than an attempt to gain access to your personal and financial information.  They urge to you hang up immediately and do not give out your information.
