James Ward (Jim) Boulie, Sr., born May 9, 1949, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family, at his home in Nashville, TN, June 12, 2026

Mr. Boulie graduated from Lawrence County High School in Lawrenceburg, TN, was a Top Ten Student, and voted Most Athletic. Chemical engineering degree from Tennessee Technological University, and postgraduate civil engineering from the University of Tennessee. He retired from Kroger after 34 years and from the Nashville Public Library after 13 years. He was a member of West End United Methodist Church

Mr. Boulie coached youth baseball and softball, and his teams were champions each year his son and daughter played, winning multiple state championships during his coaching years. He enjoyed golf, UT football, boating and fishing with his family on Wheeler and Percy Priest Lakes, his son and daughter’s many activities, farm, their doggies, mathematics, history, especially ancestry, and his award winning iris garden, which he declined honors

He is survived by his wife; who was his high school sweetheart, Patsy Kay Ring Boulie; one son, James Boulie; one daughter, Patricia Lee Boulie; two sisters, Catherine Ann Green and Johnnie Kay Hodge; and one brother, David Boulie

He was preceded by his parent; Bernard (Barney) and Gertrude Boulie

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home; Mimosa Cemetery, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.
