Huntsville PD Reminds Motorists of Summer Slowdown

Since school is out for the summer and traffic has increased, the Huntsville Police Department is reminding motorists to engage in a summer slowdown.  To ensure greater safety on the roadways they urge motorists to leave earlier so that you do not feel rushed when traveling; to pay attention to posted speed limits – especially in neighborhoods; and high-traffic areas, and to avoid tailgating, leaving plenty of space between your vehicle and the car in front of you.  They urge motorists to do all they can to ensure safer travel on the roadways this summer.
