The Lawrenceburg Historic Zoning Commission will meet Thursday, June 4, at 1:15 PM in the Council Meeting Chambers at the Lawrenceburg Municipal Complex, 25 Public Square.
Commission members are scheduled to consider a request from Billy Hill for approval of exterior materials and improvements associated with the restoration and rehabilitation of the building at 38 Public Square.
According to the agenda, the project includes restoration of the front façade through brick masonry repair and repointing, restoration of historic architectural elements, replacement windows, and installation of a new storefront system designed to replicate the building’s original historic appearance.
Additional plans include replacing deteriorated brick along the Waterloo Street side of the building, restoring window openings, and constructing a two-story addition intended to re-establish the building’s historic massing.
If approved, the renovated building would contain a restaurant on the first floor and boutique hotel accommodations on the second floor. Plans also include balconies and doors along the side of the building that would serve as required emergency exits for hotel guests.
The meeting is open to the public.
