Giles County Sheriff’s Office Releases May Activity Statistics

The Giles County Sheriff’s Office has released its activity statistics for May 2026.

According to the department, deputies responded to 873 calls for service during the month, including 18 domestic violence-related calls. Deputies also conducted 163 traffic stops, processed 146 bookings, served 132 warrants, and completed 250 civil process services.

The Sheriff’s Office reported no overdose calls during the month.

Officials noted that domestic violence-related calls increased during May and encouraged anyone experiencing domestic violence or aware of someone in need of assistance to seek help. In emergencies, residents are urged to call 911. Non-emergency assistance is available through dispatch at 931-363-0911.

The Sheriff’s Office also reminded residents that assistance is available through The Shelter, Inc. and the National Domestic Violence Hotline.

The Giles County Sheriff’s Office says it remains committed to supporting victims and holding offenders accountable.
