Merinda Hendrix Gieske

Merinda Hendrix Gieske, age 86, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Friday, May 29, 2026, at her residence. She was a native of Danville, VA, co–owner of Hendrix Vending Co. and a member of Mars Hill Methodist Church. Mrs. Gieske enjoyed playing bridge and cross stitching. She also loved watching the UT Vols play football. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Edward Gieske; her parents, Luther H., Sr. and Pearl O. Hudson Hendrix; and one brother, Mark Hendrix. 

She is survived by three daughters, Gina Haddix (Alex) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Gaye Gieske of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Vicki Forsythe (Jeff Franklin) of Lawrenceburg, TN; one brother, Luke Hendrix of Murfreesboro, TN; six grandchildren, Rachel Lombardo (Joe), Adam Thompson (Jennifer), Blair Haddix, Rebekah Spence, Chelsea Forsythe, and Laura Forsythe; ten great–grandchildren; and Socks, her faithful canine companion of 12 years. 

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 4:00 PM Sunday, May 31, 2026, with Tory Shane Dillard officiating. Interment will follow at Mimosa Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN.
