Lawrence County Commission May 26 Regular Session Recap

The Lawrence County Board of Commissioners approved multiple resolutions during its regular session Tuesday evening at the Lawrence County Courthouse.

According to meeting results, all resolutions on the agenda passed by a 16-0 vote, with the exception of Resolution 20260526-11 involving examination of a possible transition to a six-year property reappraisal cycle.

Commissioner Brewer passed on the resolution, while Commissioners Ray and Skillington voted against it.

Commissioners Heatherly and Newton were absent from the meeting. County Executive David Morgan was also absent.

Several Lawrence County residents addressed commissioners during the public comment portion held at the end of the meeting, with all speakers expressing concerns related to data centers.
