Memorial Day Closings Announced Across Southern Middle Tennessee

Government offices and several local services across Southern Middle Tennessee will close Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day.

According to Lawrence County Government, all Lawrence County government offices, including the Solid Waste Transfer Station, will be closed for the holiday.

City of Lawrenceburg offices will also be closed Monday in observance of Memorial Day. Officials say residential garbage cart pickup in Lawrenceburg will take place Thursday, May 28. Residents are encouraged to place carts out early Thursday morning because it will be a double-route day.

In Maury County, the City of Columbia announced city offices will be closed Monday for Memorial Day. First responder personnel will remain on duty during the holiday.

Columbia officials also announced Monday household garbage collection and Route A recycling service will run Tuesday, May 26.

Meanwhile, the City of Pulaski announced all offices at Pulaski City Hall will also be closed Monday in observance of Memorial Day.
