Lawrence County Wildcats to Open State Tournament Tuesday Night

The Lawrence County Wildcats baseball team will open play in the TSSAA Class 3A State Tournament Tuesday, May 19 against Greeneville.

According to the tournament bracket, Lawrence County will play at 6:30 PM at Smyrna High School in Murfreesboro.

The Wildcats enter the state tournament with a 29-8 record, while Greeneville enters at 38-6.

Lawrence County advanced to the state tournament for the first time since 1977 after defeating Martin Luther King in the sectional round.
