A Trinity, Alabama, man has been convicted in a 2018 child sexual abuse case.  Romauldo Jimenez, age 62, has been found guilty of charges of sexual abuse of a child under the age of 12.  Jimenez was charged after a Decatur mother reported she had left her 8-year-old daughter with her cousin’s father so that she could run an errand, returning in less than 30 minutes.  She returned to find her daughter coming from a bedroom with her clothing in disarray.  A sentencing hearing is scheduled for June 17.  Jimenez faces up to 20 years in prison.
