City of Saint Joseph Issued Warning About Fire Hydrants

The City of Saint Joseph has issued a warning regarding illegal use of the city’s fire hydrants.  City officials warn that taking water from a city fire hydrant without authorization is classified as theft and will not be tolerated.  They recently discovered that an out-of-town lawn care company had been hooking up to fire hydrants without the city’s permission.  They indicate that this conduct is unlawful and unacceptable, especially when drought conditions are prevalent.  If residents notice unlawful use of fire hydrants, they are encouraged to report the matter by calling 931-845-4141.
