Wildcats Headed to State Tournament for First Time Since 1977

The Lawrence County High School Wildcats Baseball team is headed to the state tournament for the first time in 49 years after defeating Martin Luther King 7-1 in the second game of a best-of-three sectional series.

The Wildcats last reached the state tournament in 1977.

Lawrence County will open state tournament play Tuesday, May 19 in Murfreesboro. The Wildcats are scheduled to play at either 4:00 PM or 6:30 PM at either Blackman High School or Smyrna High School.
