Lawrenceburg City Council Meeting Recap – May 14, 2026

During public comments, several residents led by Elle McCann addressed the council regarding the planned data center project and raised concerns about transparency and potential sunshine law violations.

Council members approved Ordinance 1453 on first reading. The ordinance adopts the City of Lawrenceburg annual budget and tax rate for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026 and ending June 30, 2027.

The council also approved a resolution authorizing the execution of a quitclaim deed from Lawrenceburg Utility Systems for property located on Ethridge Red Hill Road to the Ethridge Volunteer Fire Department.

Another resolution approved by the council authorizes the Lawrenceburg Parks and Recreation Department to purchase lighting specific to Crockett Theater.
