Lady Cats Capture Region 6 Championship

The Lawrence County Lady Cats Softball team captured the AAA Region 6 Championship Tuesday night with a 10-5 win over Creek Wood.

Elizabeth Hagan led the Lady Cats offensively with four RBIs, including a three-run home run in the first inning. Brinley Gillam added a solo home run in the opening inning, while Tevy Statom hit a two-run homer in the third.

Hagan earned the win in the circle, and Callie Brown recorded the save. Brown and Gillam each collected two hits in the victory.

The team also finished with eight stolen bases during the championship game.

The Lady Cats said the day began with drinks provided by Lawrenceburg Nutrition and Salt + Light Salon, followed by a team lunch at Legends Steakhouse TN Brass Lantern before traveling to the game.
