Free Summer Meal Program Announced for Children

Children ages 18 and under will be able to receive free prepackaged meal boxes this summer through a program coordinated by the Southwest Human Resource Agency.

According to the announcement, each child may pick up one box of meals per week, with each box containing seven days of breakfast and lunch meals.

Officials say preregistration is required and may be completed by calling 731-513-7262 or by scanning the QR code included in the program flyer.

The first meal deliveries are scheduled for May 26 and May 27.

Pickup locations and times include:

  • Loretto High School, 525 Second Avenue South in Loretto, Tuesdays from 10:00 until 10:30 AM
  • Faith Church Lawrenceburg, 2009 Massey Avenue in Lawrenceburg, Tuesdays from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM
  • Summertown Baptist Church, 90 Highway 20 in Summertown, Wednesdays from 9:00 until 9:30 AM.
